Rino w/Tracks

Anyone use the Rino w/tracks in wet snow? What was your experience? Any advice would be appreciated.

Anything with tracks works very good. Just make sure its got the power to push them. I would not reccomend camoplast tracks. Try mattracks.

we have a rhino with tracks on it at work, it is impressive where it will go but is a whore to steer.. you cant even turn the wheel if your stopped, if you have to turn around in the road it takes some time... I have a grizzly 700 with power steering and I have tracks on it (commander) and it goes damn good in powder or old snow, I used it last spring bear hunting, I can haul 8 dogs with my racks, and with the tracks could stay with the dogs good, you could boon dock through the trees and get around good, twice they went up over the top on hard running bears, if not for the tracks i prob would have lost dogs for a day or two, or walked my ass off. they do suck alot of gas though, I carry 2-2.5 gallon jugs with me.

I have a Rino 660 w/tracks - Does anyone know if the same tracks would also work on my Grizzly 660? Thanks for the info

I think the tracks that fit your rhino would fit a griz. The lug pattern is the same, the only thing u may have to change would be the brackets those go on top and bottom of the A-arms, but where there both Yamaha it might work, we have the rhino at work, and 2 griz 660 that we track up, all the tracks are the same.. I can ask one of our mechanics that install them, and let you know.

Hay Chad i have a grizzley 700 that i was going to put some tracks on but was woundering how it was on the power sterring? I road a honda rubican with tracks on it and hated it to hard to steer and rough riding. just woundering?

Hey Darvin I called the shop this morning and left a message with a friend about the tracks, when he gets back with me I'll let ya know what he said.
The 700 with power steering is def. better than one without, but plain and simple they are tough on ya after a while, last spring after it warmed up in the afternoon I was heading back to the truck with all the dogs loaded on the wheeler, backpack etc. the front tracks would break through (sometimes) about a foot down, and then it was hard to turn it when they are doing that, I think my tracks are about 80 lbs apiece? But I wouldn't trade them, down low you have little snow, then you hit the south sections of rd, may not snow for 1/2 mile, hit a north section and have 2', they shine for that type of hunting.

Chad- That's kind of why I purchased them- Just one little snow drift could make for a long few days without the tracks I'm thinking. Where are you located?

Hey Darvin, I live in Nampa, ID.. I talked to my friend at work, and flat out he wasn't sure if the two would interchange. He said that they ordered the set for the rhino, and then the other two for the grizzly's. He thought they would, but again he was not positive. He mentioned that if they wouldn't fit (the brackets) that is all you would have to get cause the tracks def. do have the same lug pattern. Anyway just letting you know what he said, sorry couldn't be more help.. take care

Talk to Gary at atvtracks.net He'll know for sure, but I think you have to get different brackets for your Griz - the tracks themselves will bolt right on though. They have power steering kits now that you could put on that Rhino which weren't available back then. That may help some. I had the AD Boivin tracks on that Rhino also, and they were hard to steer in the wet snow also.
