NCTA and UKC Incentives

Post by calblu »

Nor-Cal Treehound Assoc has some special "perks" for members and/or participants. A couple are brand new and one was started last year. There are many people who may not be aware of them so they are listed below:

Zone Fund
*This is available to currently paid club members in good standing who live in the state of California
At each UKC event, NCTA matches the $1.50/dog fee paid to UKC. This money is then split evenly among the California houndsmen who have, 1) qualified a dog in the hunt at any RQE, and 2) go to that year's Zone Hunt.
This year the Zone Hunt will be in Worland Wyoming Sept 4-5, 2009

Free Entry Drawing
*This is open to anyone who enters a dog in an NCTA UKC event
After each NCTA UKC event, one ticket for each dog owner who enters a UKC event will go into a drawing for a free entry (up to $15 value). The ticket will be publicly drawn at the next UKC event. That person must be present to collect the ticket and must use the free entry at the event where it is drawn. Only the person whose name is on the ticket may collect and redeem it (not a friend, family member, roommate etc).
(We're still figuring out how we'll work this for the final event of the year)

We are working on the details for a High Point Dog contest.

UKC is about to start an incentive program called UKC Activity Rewards Program. Details are here:
http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/WebP ... ityRewards
The general idea is this:
For a year starting June 1, 2009 the United Kennel Club will be sending out $25.00 gift certificates for dogs earning an additional title(s) in different programs offered. The United Kennel Club believes that our participants should be rewarded for all the hard work they do in training their dogs to be versatile and perform in more than one aspect of the dog world.

If you have additional questions or would like more information please contact: UKC Dog Events Department: Beth Anglemyer at banglemyer@ukcdogs.com or UKC Field Operations Department: Pat Seward at PSeward@ukcdogs.com

Q.) What is the Activity Rewards Program?
A.) The Activity Rewards Program will benefit participants who earn titles in more than one area of competition between the dates of June 1, 2009 thru May 31, 2010. Dogs earning an additional title in a separate discipline will be awarded a $25.00 gift certificate for every additional title earned between the above listed dates.

Q.) Who is eligible?
A.) All UKC registered and LP dogs who qualify.

Q.) Who will receive a gift certificate?
A.) All dogs who earn an additional title(s) in a separate discipline than a title that has already been earned after June 1, 2009 until May 31, 2010. If no titles have been earned before June 1, 2009 the $25.00 gift certificate will be sent out with the earning of a second title of a different venue.
For example: A dog that already has a UKC Agility Title and earns a UKC Conformation Title during the term of the program will receive one $25 gift certificate. Dogs earning a UKC Agility and UKC Conformation Title during the period of the program will receive a $25 Gift Certificate for the second title. New levels of the same UKC Title do not qualify; for example a UKC Nite Champion who earns a UKC Grand Nite Champion Title would not qualify, but a UKC Nite Champion who earns a UKC Water Race or UKC Bench Show Title would qualify
