There is a legnthy discussion of white cloud dogs on this site. The jist of it was Booby Lyles of SC owned a large part of the original breeding stock, but sold out several years ago to several different people.

Yea, I was able to buy one of the last females he had left about 6 yrs. ago. She is 1/2 W.C. and 1/2 Nance.

YOU JUST HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE WHITE CLOUD BLOOD HAS BEEN SO DILUTED, WITH OUT CROSSES THAT IT IS GONE.
THERE ARE OTHER GOOD BIG GAME BLOOD LINES OUT THERE THAT WILL DO THE JOB YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK FOR THEM [THEN HUNT THEM] SOME OF THE OLD RENICK BLOOD, OR MAYBE SOME OF THE OLD BAWLIE BLOOD THAT IS STILL AROUND. ALSO THAT CLOVER BLOOD LINE IS STARTING TO REALLY COME ON WITH BIG GAME.

butch, you nailed it on the head! i have the most complete blood in the country. i have two male's i will feed and no females. sucks but this is reality. i had a top papered female white cloud dog that had no mouth. no nose. nance don't cross at all with the old blood. sorry guys this is a fact.50% nance is not w.c. hollands star is not w.c. blood. you end up with dirty cold nose hounds that don't tree. all i wanted to do was keep a good thing going. too many dog jockeys/ crooks out in the world who put a dollar bill ahead of a sound breeding program. me i just eliminate them. i can tell you each cross ever made. it really hurts when you look at a set of papers that say pr.honor to whom honor is due.some of the guys that are in my partnership with me feed them. they really like them on bear,lion,coon,i'm too old to put up with junk dogs. if all you can tree are the above mentioned. i come real close. i just dont like any of the females that i hunted out well enough to breed them. i won't feed a bay dog .nor will i feed a coon dog. nor will i feed a lion hound. nor will i feed a pack dog.the rennick is also a waste of time. on the papers i seen they read open? no nothing? this means there is no accurate account of the dog. that translates to me grade dogs! even if a guy wants to register a dog this is b.s. open? come on. it is grade. this is my grievance with ukc. registry. it is all about the money. the michigan bawly has also been tampered with. i had a coke bottled headed cur looking pup that come from that region. not even full hound as stated on the ukc. pr papers. i had it long enough to put it down. we need to get back to proving dogs in the field before they are registered with ukc. sorry i have just been around. a spade is a spade! jmo.

i found a walker pup from down south that is all white cloud. Hes line bred from bobby lyles stuff and i cant complain about him. He has a colder nose then the rest of my dogs and can really push a track. So i guess it all depends on how well the dogs are bred
