Let's see some birds......

Postby Nora Cook » Fri Apr 24, 2009 2:35 am

I got my first Bird He was about a 20lb with a double beard one was 8 1/2 inch the other was about 3 inch.... I had a great time....

This was my very first time Turkey hunting. We started out first thing Saturday morning. The first time that Nick had a Jake call back to him strutting his stuff I was ready to give it to him but Nick held me back and got me on some nice birds. I had the time of my life. Thanks Maloney for inviting me into your hunting area and a big thank you goes out to Nick and Cody for being the best decoys a girl could ask for……

Thank's guys.

I had SO much fun.

.. I have a small problem staying in one spot for to long :? so my wonderful   guides had to deal with me wanting to go from this place to another....

We had some great farmers let us hunt there land. I think that helped a lot.. The birds did not have to much pressure on them....

Nora,
Thats a good bird! Congrats.

I took my two baby brothers and mother out about two weeks ago and we were able to pull all the strings to gether and roll this bird. Pretty good size bird 15-20lbs, 6in beard, and about 1in spurrs.

Hey Nora and Bency, Great Job on those birds!!
I'm about to throw down!
Me and Little Joe have been guiding quite a few clients this spring on Merriam's Turkey. These are some of the New Mexico birds our hunters have shot so far!

Thanks! we had fun, even shot a few more since I posted those pics!

Mike B. - Yep- right here, on and around the ranch! Every year we get infested with turkeys right before season starts.
