Nice big boar

Here is a big boar that me and my buddy chance kay caught for one of our hunters shana morgan. Well we walked down in a canyon and got the track going at about 12:00 o clock. It started pooring rain on us as we were following the dogs so we stopped with a couple of guys that were down there and sat next to the fire until the rain quit.. by that time a couple of our dogs got turned around or something and was backtracking the bear track so we gathered them up, and before long the bear made a big circle and came just about right where we turned loose. He just kept beighing and busting out of the dogs wouldnt ever tree, so the others started back for the truck, and i stayed up with them tell they finally beighed him up for good, the others drove up around to the top and shana the shooter came down and killed him.. it was bout 20 minutes before dark so had to come back yesterday to pack him out.. Shot up in the three corners and daggot county unit

We guessed his weight at about 300-350 pounds, he has a 5 and a quarter inch front pad on him, and hes about ten years old. Pretty good first bear for Shana.

Well thank you guys. The weathers not been very good that past little while, winds been blowin and its been raining alot. I finished my box and it works like a charm..

Pat,

Nice bear glad to see you found one during all the rain. A buddy and I were up in the La Sal area for the last 5 days and pretty much got rained out. Only got on one bear but started pouring while trailing.

well the hunter called me with the weight the iniversity of utah gave him and it weighed in at 355 pounds..
