National Houndsmen Assocation
The National Houndsmen Assocation has been talked about a lot on here now. I just wanted to see if we are going any where with this? I have made the offer to help in any way I can with this. I have also seen many others offer to help. If this is going to get pushed to the back shelf I would like to know. I am more then willing to make this a reality. I dont know who it was that got this started but please contact me and let me know where we are going with this. I think we also need to have reps from state houndsmen clubs get on board. I dont think we need to start this NHA and pull members and support from state clubs, but work with the state clubs and offer our support of them.
Come on guys lets get this ball rolling.....

I was the one that started that thread. I am currently researching the legalities. My intention is to hit the antis' with shock and awe - millions of dollars per year. Definately work with state orgs. and the USSA.

Well lets get this thing going. I am more then willing to help. Have you gotten in touch with the IRS and what ever state you are going to be based out of for the tax forms? You might also want to have the reps from the state clubs contact you? Some of the funding I would be looking to is the telemetry companies, as well as dog food companies. Also might want to get in touch with some of the ATV and UTV companies we as houndsmen spend lots of money each year with them and the Auto companies but I dont think we could get much funding from them right now.

I have some huge plans. In order to do this right, will take a little time, but like a house, a good foundation is most important. Yes I have the appropriate forms and paperwork.
I also have some great funding ideas, I'm talking Big Money...Really Big. Don't take a bb gun on an elephant hunt, so to speak. Yes I will need help, reps in every state. Also, houndsmen clubs in every state. We will take the fight straight to them and they will be defeated!

liontracker. livetohunt. this is a great start. we definately need something more than what we have. it takes money and guts. the money is the easy part. once organized, how or what would be the priority direction the funds or support be allocated? too me there would be some bugs to work out. this is worthwhile,i'm in.

Re: National Houndsmen Assocation
The first item should be damage control. We need to go state by state and start cleaning up the legal carnage. Next, education in schools, internet, TV, ect. while at the same time, launch a VERY agressive offensive attack on the antis, there lies, non-profits and what they stand for. Ultimately, complete submission and elimination of their emotionally based money machine. Tearing down the house, so to speak... fight fire with fire!

Re: National Houndsmen Assocation
Liontracker,
I will put the offer out right now to be the rep here in Cal. I also want to be involved on the National level. We have some great clubs here in Cal right now. I hope they will get on board with us. Sounds like your moving right a long on this please keep us all updated on this as we move forward. I also think one of the things we need to be looking into on this is taking their Corp. funding from them. How many of the companies that fund the Antis can we steal? I know if we do some digging into their funding we can find a few maybe many companies that will go under with out the support of sportsmen and women. These are the ones we need to hit, show them that their money would be better spent on us. And I know Buddy had a post on here the other day about companies that fund the Antis we need to use that as a hit list get the word to everyone to stop using these companies right now. Let them know if you support the Antis your cutting your own throat.

Also sounds like we have a rep for NV. and for OR. I just want to say thanks to all that are willing to help on this. This will be the biggest leap we as Houndsmen have made yet to date. And as long as we can keep our eye on the ball we can win this war...

LTH, sounds like you are ready to lead a charge. I am not only looking at taking their corporate funding from them, but I will bet the ranch that a good lawyer could prove missapropriation of funds and coruption and end their free meal ticket. As a 501c, their financials are public information.

Re: National Houndsmen Assocation
count the state of oregon represented. one person who will make a stand for what is right and will not back down can accomplish quite alot. the reason i keep pushing is simple, every day i recieve a dozen e-mails and phone calls from hunters in oregon who agree with the fight.since i started my campaign i see a ratio of 10 to 1 who favor this over rolling over.the only reason those that roll over do so because they have a dog in the fight and don't want to lose favors.i really did get an education the other day at our state capitol. as we grow, we need to understand who supports us and who doesn't. this applies to hound hunters as well.we could get somewhere in oregon if we would ever unite but for self interest we fail to act.our state represenative does not support us in any way either and she is a republican? the ability to navigate effectively is the key to winning.

Yes I am more then willing to lead a charge. I think you are right on with looking into where the money is going or at least they say its going. I feel if we can get this info out to their supporters they will see the facts and the lies. I'm sure most of their supporters feel this money they give to them is going to help animals or even shelters not to help them live in a big fat house and boost their bank accounts. We can use this to cut off there funding. Then in the second wave educate the ex supporters to the truth about Houndsmen and hunting. And might just be able to keep them from funding our opposition in the future and maybe even turn a few in to our supporters. I know its a long shot, but even a grain of sand will one day become a great mountain.

Re: National Houndsmen Assocation
I think once the general public understands the hipocracy of their 90% kill rate, the fact that the top dogs are getting rich by playing on emotions and a few other things, that it will be a no brainer. In my town the animal control is a part of the sherrifs dept. Only one small problem though, their office is 1/2 of the Humane Society building, not the sherrifs building. No one even questions it, but I smell collusion of some sort.
