Northern Utah Bear Hunters

Hey Guys, I am looking for any info on this unit...002, 102 - Cache / Ogden / Morgan Rich / East Canyon. I got a call from a gal that has this bear tag and is looking for some help. This is not a 'guided' hunt, just a friend of a friend deal. If any of you guys hunt that unit and have some ideas, let me know. I will probably hunt it this weekend and the next. Bear population densities are pretty low in the unit so it is going to be a tough tag to fill. In fact, I don't know if a sportsman tag has ever been filled on the unit........at least not on the Cache end. Most of the Forest roads on the Cache are still choked in snow, so you'll likely have to hunt on foot or horse back. I do know a couple places to check where I've seen bear sign before this time of year, but it ain't going to be easy getting back there. PM me and I'll give you some details.

Nah, the Cache part of the unit is tough enough to find a bear on when you can get around in the summer and fall. But a spring hunt?? Now those are some long odds!

i know where i have seen bear up in that unit but its some pretty nasty country not alot of roads
