What brand and model 2 way radios are you using?
Ive been goin nuts trying to figure out what the best 2 way radios to get. I know the basics. Least 5 watts on the hand helds. And in the rig the more watts the better. Pleas let me know what you have so I can feel better when I finally break down and buy some. TY

I also use the icom radios 2200H mobiles and the icom v-8 handhelds. Never had a problem and they have great range.

I get mine from West Marine. I use the Standard Horizon radios.
Base unit is the GX1255S model 25 Watt.
Hand Held units are the HX370S models.
The guy told me when I bought mine 6 years ago that at a trade show the Standard Horizon is the only one that they actually submerged into a 55 gallon drum, took it out dried it off and began talking on it.
That was enough for me!!
The West Marine line are good too.
Good Luck!

I use an older model Icom unit in the truck. I use a Yaesu handheld vx-170. Super water resistant and good sturdy quality.

Standard Horizon in my rig and hand held. I asked around for over a year I had more people tell me Standard Horizon then any other brand. I got mine off ebay and saved some big bucks.
