Border Collie crossed with Hound ?

I was wondering if anyone has crossed a Border Collie with a Hound and if they did any good ?

17 bears up in 17 evenings of hunting this month, you can't really go wrong. Just make sure you breed to a bear hating stock dog. I use them on cougar and lynx as well.

i have heard of guys making a cross like that and loving the dogs said they did read good had the noise of the hounds but the agillity of the collie

That's what I heard too them collie's are very smart dogs . I think next season I might make that cross and see how they do.

I had an accidental cross not to long ago. I know where 3 of the 4 pups are. They were gritty, smart, early starting dogs. We had them started on coon by 4 months old and taking drags and going with the older dogs too. I had heard of guys doing it before and just runnning pure bred border collies I didnt beleive it till I saw it.
