NCTA UKC June 13, 2009 (confirmed)

Nor-Cal Treehound Assoc's final UKC event of the year will be held June 13 at our club grounds in Oroville/Honcut. The schedule will be:

Bench Show --- 10:00 am deadline --- $10 entry
Field Trial --- 12:00 pm deadline --- $10 entry
Water Race --- 12:00 pm deadline --- $10 entry
Nite Hunt --- 7:30 pm deadline --- $10 entry

Soda and water for sale. Free coffee in the evenings.
Motels and restaurants in the area. Camping on the grounds (no hookups, bring your own water).

What did we discuss 2 years ago about not having events on the 2nd Saturday of Jan, March, June, and Sept?

Those are CHC Meeting days. Since this date is pending, you can switch it up with another day huh? I hope soooooo.

It's pending because it hasn't been published in CB yet, not because it can be changed.

I'm sorry, I try to avoid date conflicts whenever possible. It was that date or no UKC event in June, and May would have been our last for the year.
I needed someone to give me a 5th weekend in between the 13th and the 20th.

Why couldn't you have scheduled it for the weekend before, when you're talking about Youth Da?

You could have killed 2 birds with one stone. You go out of your way to make sure you don't have anything on the same day as Oregon or Utah , but let this happen. How many except for a couple even come down from those states? Not many.

Because United Houndsmen has a water race that day and it's a full moon weekend.

So whats the word on the Judge for the weekend? Who it is depends on what I'm doing, showing or apprenticing.

Did Tiny ever make the "call" about my apprenticing, and see whats up. I would rather support the club and enter, than sit it out and apprentice, but I want it out of the way before next year.

I don't know if Tiny called or not. He's working nights again so all he does at home is sleep. I'll ask him next time I see him awake, which should be tomorrow sometime.


THE WEATHER LOOKS AWESOME FOR THIS WEEKEND!!! Even awesome for people who live in places that almost never see the sun! And I'm pretty sure that vehicles can go both east AND WEST across Nevada.

Well, ya know some of us are chasing that last win. It'd be good to see you judge again, you've only done it once this year, so it'll be like having a new judge!

I'll be the first one to bite the bullet and judge for you next year. And whenever. So long as it's not another Walker Sect, if we ever have one again.

I may have only judged once this year, but I've had to sit-out the 2 shows Tiny judged and had females in heat for 2 others. So out of a total of 6 shows I think both our dogs have only been shown twice each......

It's either you or Bill judging this weekend, so you can have it either way you want it. There's probably a lot more people who need you as a judge than Bill, but I'm not one of them.

Next year we'll hopefully have 5 or 6 judges only having to do one show each.

Ill be coming out this weekend. I will be showing 1 or 2 dogs(not quite sure yet). Skye and I will both be turning 21 this year(July & October) So next year we'll apprentice and be judges. Also Jane want to apprentice so she'll hopefully be a judge too. So that would be 2 for sure if not 3 more judges for California. See you all this weekend.

There may not be enough local shows next year to get everybody apprenticed. But this is a good thing!
Hopefully your club will have some shows too, but you should also try to go out of state to apprentice if you can. It's really valuable experience!!
There are also 2 guys with extensive conformation ring experience (UKC & AKC) who want to become BSJs.

The ability to use Hunt Directors instead of MOHs is a huge benefit to our clubs out here. And once we increase our number of local judges.....wow, too cool!

Your Welcome i have been out of the hound this for a few. I know i had talked with Tiny at one of the Rabbit shows and he said if Skye and I could go out of state that would really benefit. I know it would, i just hope we can do it. Im hoping we can have a few shows also soon. Also i guess i didn't confirm the August so not August UKC, but in September we can have UKC and if someone can judge then we can have a Show also.

The August UKC Water Race. I missed the deadline, well i know i didnt miss it, i had confirmed it but today i called and they said that i hadn't confirmed, so no UKC in August but there will be one in September. Maybe we could have a show if the club would approve it.

this is kerry t, i wanted to thank tiny and chawn for there thoughts about lucy after fallen out of that tree and there understanding for my taken off that night of last months hunt, she is back to normal now and was back to catchin last weekend, and being a pain in the butt at home, i cant make it to this weekends hunt cause of work so im sure all the cats on the propertys we hunt will be safe thanks agian
