WELL HER I GO I'M HESITANT TO TELL YOU ALL THIS AT RISK OF BEING BAND AND I HATE TO SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT SOMEONES PRODUCT BUT THIS IS MY OPINION SCENTLOGIC IS NOT ALL ITS CRACKED UP TO BE HERE IS THE TRUTH.

NOW MY DOGS ARE AS SMART AS ANYONE'S AND CAN READ IN THREE DIFFERENT LANGUAGES (SO THEY TELL ME)I HAVE TO TAKE THERE WORD FOR THAT BECAUSE I CAN'T READ A LICK. THE FIRST UNIT WE RECEIVED TOOK THE DOGS THREE FULL DAYS TO MOUNT ON THE FRONT OF MY RHINO THERE WAS A LOT OF BICKERING GOING ON DURING ASSEMBLY "CAUSE BUCK IS THE OLDEST AND THINKS HE KNOWS EVERYTHING" THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT MAKE HEADS OR TAILS OUT OF THE DIRECTIONS THEY WHERE WRITTEN IN SOME ALIEN LANGUAGE THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT READ.

WHEN WE FINALLY GOT IT UP AND RUNNING AND TOOK IT OUT FOR A TRIAL RUN THE DOGS WOKE ME UP FROM A SOUND SLEEP IN THE BACK OF THE RHINO MADE ME SPILL THE LAST OF MY BOTTLE OF CAPTAIN MORGAN TO TELL ME IT QUIT WORKING WE CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE DOGS FAULT BECAUSE THEY WHERE USING THE MARINE BAND RADIOS TO OFTEN WHICH IS MOUNTED NEXT TO THE CONTROL PANEL AND THE TWO UNITS ARE USING THE SAME OR SIMILAR FREQUENCY AND WOULD NOT BE WARRANTIED THEY NEVER WARNED US ABOUT THAT .

WE ARE NOW ON OUR THIRD UNIT WHICH IS NOT EASY TO OBTAIN BECAUSE OF THE ONE PER CUSTOMER RULE AND THE DOGS KEEP HAVING TO GO IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE AND REQUEST A NAME CHANGE FOR ME NOW KNOWN AS JESUS RIVERA THE COMPANY SAID IF THE RADIO WAS UNDER 50 WATTS WE MIGHT NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM MY DOGS ARE STUBBORN BLITZ DOESN'T BELIEVE THAT IS THE REASON FOR THEM BURNING UP AND REFUSES TO CHANGE THE WAY THEY HAVE IT HOOKED UP OR CHANGE THE RADIO AND THE CAPTAIN AND I CANNOT SEEM TO PERSUADE HER .

I WILL SAY THIS THE SYSTEMS DID WORK SEEM TO BE WORKING AS ADVERTISED UNTIL THE BURN OUTS OF THE CIRCUIT BOARDS THE DOGS WHERE ABLE TO PICK UP THE TRAIL OF THREE FIELD MICE ONE WITH A BAD LIMP AND A FEW DEER FLIES AND THE TRAIL OF A WOOLY BEAR CATERPILLAR BEFORE THE CIRCUIT BOARD FAILURES .

SO AFTER A LONG DISCUSSION WITH THE DOGS AND CAPTAIN M . WE HAVE DECIDED NOT TO CHANGE MY NAME AND PURCHASE ANOTHER UNIT UNTIL THEY THEY GET THE BUGS WORKED OUT BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL .

well larry i must say i have a very vivid picture and well it is disturbing but i am with you on the dogs reading better as my dogs seem to know which way to go by road signs better than me and we always end up at the dobie in medway and they are chasing tail just not theirs if you know what i mean LOL!!!!!

You guys just don't understand that Scentlogic thing is the real deal.... I know a guy bout 20 miles down the road that bought one of those things and had it programmed for bobcat.. I'm telling you what he sure trained some nice cat dogs... he finally ended up crossing a half labrador half border collie with a registered German short hair...... he drove around with that thing on the front of his toyota and when he hit a track that was less than 5 hours old he put em down... most of the time he just sat in the truck and waited cause they would catch them on the ground and I guess that it was because of that labrador that was in them they would just retrieve that cat right back to him. Back then when the cats were thick in here he caught so many that he had to hire a mexican boy down the road and teach him how to handle his fur just cause he couldn't keep up.. but it didn't last long he didn't leave enough back for seed and I'm pretty sure thats why to this day I can't put one up hell there ain't none left. In the end I think he came out alright because I believe he had six of those dogs and I think he averaged about $15,000.00 a piece for them..

He didn't completely get out though he kept that thing and had it reprogrammed for bears last I heard he was crossing a half Greatdane half Airedale with a half Plott half Dogo and he was going to start running bears!

Bobcat hunting is so much easier and the tracking conditions are so much better and the dogs are so much worst then your south eastern bobcat dogs but here in the pacific northwest i struck a track off the box and the dogs cold trailed it and bayed up in a hole. i looked in there and it was just a skeleton of a bobcat.

I am sure that my dogs have some of that same blood as yours Jake. We had a litter about two years ago and they sure were dandies. They caused a lot of trouble though. When they were three days old they dug out of the kennel and went over and killed one of the neighbor's housecats. Then they treed the other one so long it fell out dead of starvation. Well, you could understand the neigbors being mad, but I sure didn't think it was necessary for me to get a ticket for viscious dogs...........then when they were three weeks old they winded the animal rehab place about eight miles from me and went down and ganged up on an African lion they had over there. The vet bill was so big they had to put me on a payment plan for 5 years. They think the lion is gonna make eventually tho'...........

Random shots from a rusty musket- Here is a good one I heard about Eldon Walker. Seems like he was hard up during the depression or the hungry thirties and took a job herding sheep on the desert down on the winter range. Eldon had a smart sheep dog along on the trip. The weather turned bad and Eldon caught pneumonia for about ten days. When he got well he found out that the dog had been herding sheep. The dog had two coyotes herding sheep and he was tending camp. I asked Eldon “Well what did you do with that dog?” “Well, he said, “I loaned him to the bank to help count sheep. I had a guy on one of the other boards as me for a lion hunting story, kind of a smartazz, so I gave him this one a couple winters back:



"Well buddy, you weren't too far wrong when you wondered if I started a week old track and may spend a week and a half catching it......wish I were so lucky!

So you want to hear a story huh--fiction or non-fiction? Well doesn't matter, I'll give you one and let you sort through the bullshit bess............

I took the Wolf Pack out a couple weeks ago before the storm blew in and started one of those super tom lions hoping to get him killed before someone lucked into him.. The dogs ran back and forth lining him out, and before I knew it they had that damn tom going backwards. They trailed plum out of the country, so I loaded up and went to the house.

A couple days later I went and check on them and they had trailed that tom clear back to a bitch and three kittens. Well, I whipped their azz and turned them around down their backtrail to find that tom I'd sent them after. I gave one of those red dogs my cell phone and told him to call me when they got him treed.............

Well buddy, I'm still waiting for that damn call! But I know they are still after him cause Choco keeps sending me text messages on their progress along with their GPS location. I do kinda feel sorry for those hounds having to push an old dirt track under two feet of snow, but they were just being greedy wanting to catch the bitch and tom both and should have just done what I ask them to do.....

I'll give you an update if they ever catch that old tom lion.
