Bear hunting spots in Northern Cali?

I am looking for a spot that I could go and take my old man with me that isn't too steep and nasty. I have been to trinity before, and I know that the terrain there is too steep for dad in his current health and age. Does anyone no of an area where a guy could go and hopefully turn the dogs loose and be able to tree a bear that is somewhat level hiking. I am from WA, and I can't afford to scout too many weekends with the price of gas for the road trips. any help is much appreciated!

have you considered a quad or horse? or a special offroad permit ? many states will issue special tags if you have a drs letter confirming health issues. getting some people to tell of good spots is worse then asking for the key to their daughters chasity belt.

Well, I wouldn't turn down the key to a daughter if thats easier! lol!
