Sorry to bust your bubble, But im not the only guy in here who thinks killing livestock isnt hunting. You can do it all you like. Im not gonna call you. I can see I your upset. These forums and conversations are good for our sport. If we dont hash this stuff out we will lose it all. Hey if there was a law written so that these operations were gonna be shut down I wouldnt vote for it. Cause if we can protect you kind of "hunting" we can certainly protect our own. JMO

IS IT OK TO SHOOT GAME FROM A VEHICLE? HOW ABOUT SHOOTING A COYOTE ETC. IN THE CHICKEN PEN? SHOOTING BEARS IN A ORCHARD? IS HARVESTING FOXES IN A FUR FARM ETHICAL? WHAT ABOUT HIREING A GUIDE TO TREE A MTN. LION OR BEAR FOR YOU? IS THE USE OF BEATERS, PUSHING GAME TO THE GUN SPORTING? THE USE OF ELECTRONIC GAME CALLS OR SCENT BLOCKERS AND LURES. LIVE BAIT OR FLIES, HAND TIED OR MASS PRODUCED? THESE DEBATES ARE THE VERY THING THAT DIVIDE SPORTSMEN THE WORLD OVER. ONE THING IS UNIVERSAL WE ENJOY HARVESTING GAME . THERE ARE MANY PRACTICES I CAN'T ENDORSE PERSONALLY. BUT THOSE ARE MY CHOICES AS A AMERICAN AND I WILL DEFEND THOSE CHOICES FOR MYSELF AND YOU AND FUTURE GENERATIONS. WILL YOU DEFEND THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE? IT'S EASY TO DEFEND SOMETHING YOU HOLD DEAR, HARDER WHEN THERE ARE PARTS OF IT YOU DISAGREE WITH. DO YOU LIKE WHEN SOMEONE HUNDEREDS OF MILES AWAY TELL YOU HOW TO LIVE? HOW ABOUT LOOSEING YOUR FAMILY TRADITIONS? IS IT MORE IMPORTANT WHEN AND HOW SOMEONE HUNTS OR WHY THEY HUNT?
Re: What do you think of those fenced in hunting operations?
There are ranches here in Texas that are high fence and are so big you can get lost.
The fence is not to keep deer in but to keep deer out.
They are great places to run your hounds. I hunt lions on a place in South Texas. I do not hunt deer their but I can tell you they are as tough to hunt as anywhere. The owner mananges the ranch very well. On miles of squares land five trophy bucks are taken. Just to help pay taxes. He lets youth hunters hunt for free through a drawing for Texas Parks and Wildlife.
The ranch is so big they find their cows with helicopters.

Re: What do you think of those fenced in hunting operations?
I'm from wv and here we hunt for trophy animals too, some of the best hunts animals are not even taken. I dont think the trophy is bought by beeing able to afford it. The reason these fenced in animals are bigger is not because they are smarter. Its because someone has not saved up enough money to kill it yet. Know matter how big the area is if I know there is a trophy inside the fence I will find it sooner or later! It personally make me sick to think about fenced hunting.

well you might want to figure out how to defend it anyway, because in case you don't know it yet, hunting anything w/ dogs makes some people the same kind of sick.
i personally don't think very much of deer shooting as a sport (fence or not bows included) but i'll damn sure defend it.
