Re: antibiodics
I, and others I know, have used this type of product with good results. However, having said that, I would also say that you need to be CERTAIN that you are giving your dog what his particular illness needs. Too many people think that "antibiotics" are a cureall for about anything wrong with a dog and that, of course, is just not correct.

I usually use amoxocillian or cephalexin, when the dogs get holes or tears in them.I was just curious if this textracycline was any good .

Re: antibiodics
I use the tetracycline for mine when they look like they are coming down with lymes disease. That's the same stuff the vet gave me years ago when I had one with lymes.
I don't know if you guys have to worry about lymes out there, but that's all I use it for.
Like you, I use the fish mox (amoxicillin) for battle wounds.

Re: antibiodics
The ones I've seen usually always start with a slight limp in one of there front legs. Then the limp gets worse along with lack of appetite and energy.
I usually start mine on the fish cycline as soon as I notice one limping. Even if I'm not 100% sure that's what it is. It's alot easier to get rid of it right away then waiting a couple days.

Re: antibiodics
Chronic lameness with no known cause, usually manifesting in the front legs, involving both sides sometimes alternately. Blood tests are inconclusive and not to be relied upon, as dogs that have never been exposed to Lyme's disease can test positive......as per the home-vet book I read.Jason Waterhouse wrote:How do you no if a dog is coming down with lyme disease.
