Is this a real question...? I couldn't get the clip to work but the dog has no chance! Lions can pretty much kill anything they dare IMHO.

It must be horseshit then... cause I ain't buying it. I have seen enough lion dog fights to know that the lion is the man! You can think whatever you wish..... take care.

Yea, we breed some of that line in our dogs years ago. They still show some of that grit in them today. Sorry Rockcreek, you obviously need some of this in your dogs if they are getting wooped by a cat.

Lassie??? Looks more like my old dog P.J. to me!

BTW RockCreek, I'm still sore about you winning P.J. from me in that poker game. I know I'd been drinking that night, but I'm still trying to figure out how your pair of deuces beat my queens! :x

On a full grown adult lion ,one on one the lion will win everytime! A subadult lion will , chances are in the dogs favor most of the time. Have a good day! :D

like any fight, it depends on the participants.
young adult dogo argentinos are pen tested on intact adult pumas before going to the woods. they are expected to grab and attempt to strangle the cat in the test. the dogueros (dog hunter) will try to break them up before the cat is killed so it can be used to test another dogo another day. on the hunt they are expected to catch a puma same as a hog so the doguero can kill w/ a knife (same as a hog). they are run in mixed packs w/ hounds.
the caveats, field bred dogos average 90-100# (but can reach 120#) and dual lines (show & hunt) average 100-120#(but have produced 150# dogos in running trim). the field bred have more stamina but the dual lines will hunt & hit like a freight train. due to the dangers of their lives most dogos rarely see 4 birthdays, but one that lives that long is usually educated enough to see 10-12.
pumas in south america (at least in argentina) average 90-125 as adults and anything over 150 is so rare that people will want to see a certified weight ticket.
unfortunately some BS kids in argentina put out some video of adolescent dogos tested on declawed pumas. real dogueros look on this w/ the same disgust we have for spotlighters shooting deer. if you look hard however you can find video of adult dogos being pen tested on intact pumas. the dogs go in shiny & white and come out w/ face & shoulders pink & red from the cats claws. a dogo that passes the pen test is almost sure to be bred from extensively. one that fails may still be fed if it is a good boar dog.
