$570 later, still no idea what's going on... He has stopped vomitting, normal stools, eating still off and on. Coughing off and on. Fever off and on.
Bloodwork, xrays, and exam/ultrasound show nothing. Everything in normal ranges.
He has not eaten anything bad, has not had any food changes. Nothing like that. Being a tech myself, those would be the first thing I'd suspect.
We sent out a fungal panel, waiting on the results. Dr is highly suspecting blastomycosis. Sent me home with some wormer for lungworm. Also some antibiotics.
I think he's over the serious part. Now just finding out WHAT it was and IF its going to happen AGAIN. Wether I'm just waisting time and money on a dog I might never be able to hunt.

Re: VERY SICK DOG - Anyone had this happen?
Update: Everything we sent off as far as bloodwork, and follow up xrays showed nothing.
Almost 2 weeks on antibiotics (of course only the most expensive) and he's no longer coughing. He is back to eating. No vomiting nothing.
Took him out for the first time since the incident. He seems okay. For some reason he just doesn't have the "zip" I think he should have. But I'm taking it easy on him, and it could just be because he's a little out of shape. 3 weeks doin nothing, and getting a whole lot of 'extras' to put weight on him might have something to do with it.
Here's to hoping he'll be back in the game come bear season.
