Liz you got that right.... they are going to get rid of us hunters one way or another and taking away the land is the easiest way they have found so far. If you care.... contact your congressman, senators and governors and tell them this is crap! If we all do everything we can we might have a chance. I know it is real bad in CA, WA, OR..... and they are pushing for closures in just about every state. I hope they don't turn me into an outlaw....lol!!!!!!

That's been happening for years here in Minnesota. Some of my best bear baiting areas are unreachable now, unless I want to walk my baits in two mile everyday. When your trying to run 20-25 baits a day it's impossible. When they first started the talk of shutting down the Chippewa national Forrest alot of us trappers, hunters, resort owners all went to the meetings. They said they were pretty sure they were going to give SPEICEL permits out to trappers and big game guides which would allow us to use ATV in the nonmotorized area's even took down our names and address so they could send us our permits. Well that kind of soothed everyone over till after the bill past. I went to the forestry office to pick mine up and the lady told me they decided they were not going to give permits. They are starting to doze all the roads closed or putting gates across them. We tried to get other States to jump in and help us stop this, and some did, also a lot of hunting and trapping associations. I'm sorry for your luck Liz, hope you guys get more help to battle them then we did. Everyone else had better open their eyes, and help stop them where their at because it WILL be you next.

That started with Clinton admin years ago here, we had allot of roads torn up.. they sure make a mess of them too. Don't know what the Idea was seemed like a Waste of money to me. Build a good road then go spend a bunch of money to tear it up???
