When I was in Sweden, these were the dogs they used to run Hare with in the snow. They are Eva's Finnish hounds & very popular over there.

I've heard of a few fellows trying out the Swiss hounds (Jura variety) on hare. I believe Pete Richardson has tried some and or crosses thereof.
Some of the more ardent fanciers of this breed tout there prowess on bobcat as well but I don't know of any hardcore cat hunter that has confirmed any such claims.
I'm sure Pete can give a better overview on this subject.
