Bear hunting in Eastern NC

Post by lwilmoth1 »

To All, I'm interested in finding someone who hunts in the Eastern part of NC. I am interested in us hunting together, whether it is a hunting club or an individual. Please forward me your name and contact number and lets talk. I have my own dogs and have previously hunted in WV. I'm looking to start hunting in NC - closer to home. I live in Timberlake, NC (between Durham & Roxboro). My rig dog came from Mike Kemp (ThreeBears Kennel in Idaho). My hunting was limited last year due to the distance of driving to WV, however there were 5 bears killed with using my dogs in a whole lot rougher terrain than in Eastern NC. There are alot of high walls in WV where I have been hunting. My contact information is: Louis Wilmoth - 919-698-6850. Thank you for any help or assistance that you are willing give. I look forward to talking to you.

Thanks! Louis Wilmoth

don't underestimate the coastal swamps. in a drought year it took me & another guy an hour to chop 800 yds & we had bear tunnels for half of it. in a regular rain year it took 3 young kids (17-19) an hour to chop 100 yds.
