Grounded for awhile

Well I guess those elk hunters are out hunting this weekend and so it's time to keep those hounds close to the house for a few weeks. I did get all eight of them out this morning and road them six or seven miles though. Our foot work was made close to town and in a place no bullets should be flying. And they seemed to enjoy it nearly as much as hunting.

There are always a few fox up where we road, and he did not fail to show himself again today. We were nearly through out trip when several of the younger dogs picked up his scent and left the road a short distance. That fox jumped and ran within seventy or eighty yards, and ol' Griz, Rui Li and Maverick all watched him go with their heads held high. No takers today, roflmao..................
