When You Think Of Big Game Hunting with Hounds...

Post by NiteTimer »

Who comes to mind? And what line of dogs?

I'm a writer for UKC's COONHOUND BLOODLINES and I'm looking to pitch a Big Game article to my editor. I've been browsing the forums here, as well as several other sites, but I'm having trouble narrowing down the field. So I thought I would get myself registered here and see if I could rustle up some suggestions from everyone. Can anyone lend me a helping hand?

Please post about someone who you think would be a good candidate (someone who hasn't been featured recently) and any contact info that you have for them.

You can either post on here, PM, or E-mail me. Camopup12@hotmail.com

I sure would appreciate it!

If you are looking to do a story on a REAL hunter this website is the LAST place you should be looking.

If you are looking for someone that sits around at a computer talking about how great they are, you came to the right place!! ;) ;)

The real hunters down here don't even know this website exists. The coffee shop hunters never leave it.

Well, Mr. Hickey, your post should confirm your self diagnosis!

Nite timer, your should PM Mike Leonard or Liontracker for their advise on whom would make a great story!

Just noticing how Many hunters will come out of the wood work to share their miserable stories about trash races and Hiking into a Shit Hole situations for some thing to bust out or go wrong.. To me that has to be some type of element.. Trying like hell to avoid making "those Types" of stories, but those are the ones that we sure enjoy talking about (after the fact!).. and they sure seam to stack up fast in this game.

Those are the stories that I hear about around the campfire..

I'm Not taking anything away from someone who can go out and Put up every bear, cat etc that they start..and make a good story about it, but we can read about that all over. I've enjoyed reading all the screwed up races and crappy conditions..

Just my two cents..

Now that is some funny chit! If a "REAL HUNTER" doesn't have time to sit down and type or read a few words each day he is either illiterate, doesn't own a computer, doesn't know how to type, or just can't put more than two words together on a keyboard.......hell sakes, we can now get Internet connections for our laptops and cell phones so what is the excuse? It's one hell of a lot easier to NOT engage by saying that you are too busy being a "REAL HUNTER" than it is to take the criticism that this gang dishes out.

Im Ill literate!! Mike Leonard has a good reputation in here. So does Ike and Liontracker There is a section in the front dedicated Mr. Leonard's particular training method. check the hits its gotten. Also look at the guys photos in the photo section. Its a pretty good indicator of somone's success rate. Before you look, let me bump my photos to the top!!  Who am I kidding I got a bunch of random mutts and im a hoghunter. They only let me post in here if I pay a fee.....

That's some funny stuff as well bigboarstopper, and I'm sure you're as tough a hunter as any of the rest of us. Please bump my photos down so they don't contact me.

Truth is there are lots of REAL HUNTERS that visit these boards and ol' Ike took offense to those comments above. Those type of comments are just not called for and only serve one purpose, and that's starting a pissing contest..................

I read every post that Ike, Lion Tracker, and Mike L put out there. All three eat drink and sleep hounds from what I can tell and I wanna know all they will share. There are some others that I like to read as well but those are the ones that stand out the most. There are plenty of "real hunters" on here too that prefer not to chime in for what ever reasons I am sure. Thanks to those three and all the others that do though. I cant imagine how I ever would figure this stuff out without their incites. Nothing wrong with a "good old boy" sitting in front of the computer either. I love it. Every time I log in here its like I am sitting around a campfire soakin in all I can from the old timers who know what they are talking about. Just get alot more this way as a "cyberfire" comes much easier than a real campfire! :-)
Get er done!

You know most articles are about ppl! Why don't you put the spotlight on the real stars! The dogs!!! They run chase catch and bleed pleasing us their owners! Us as owners can talk all we want and tell stories but we would be nothing without the dogs! Jmo on the matter at hand
