ear infection

i have a pup that is really swollen on one side of her ear. looks kind of like an infection. is there anything i can do until i can get her to the vet? can an ear infection make there head swell?

Sounds like a fox tail, get it in quick. Those thngs keep working their way in till they come out the other side, or go into something and does damage. Had a dog lose it's balance once cause I didn't get on it fast enough, never again.
