I would like to thank all of the people who posted the compliments and kind words about dad throughout the summer.A friend of ours called and told me about the web site and it sure meant a lot to Me and my family to read the post.
Dad for sure understood a cat dog and was as smooth as they come.He believed in going early and staying late.Mom never worried about him till the 3rd day.One thing dad was better at than cat hunting was being a dad and friend.He had a way of making people feel important and special.We made a million tracks together and I am a very Lucky man to have had him for a dad and friend. Kevin, I never knew your dad personally but I have hunted with dogs from him and have owned a dog or two from him. He had one hell of a reputation out here. My hat is lowered for him. I hope he is chasen them short tails way up yonder. I ask for peace to your family. And keep the legacy going Kevin.

Kevin-I never met your dad either, but his name always came up when great houndsmen were being talked about. One of those men that forgot more about hounds than most will ever know, myself included. I know you will keep up the family tradition. It is your blood.
I hope Misery does good for you this year in Cali. I hunt The Bean Man(the beagle i got from you) as much as I can. Had him out this morning. He needs no help and will hunt til he drops or I can catch him.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Dad last November to Cancer. It took him in three months. It's a tough thing to go through but I feel my Dad is with me every time I turn loose my hounds. Take care and maybe sometime we can hook up and hunt together. Give a call sometime- 360.731.4602

Good to see you on here Kevin. The last time I saw you, you were in high school. I did not live close enough to Elmer to see him a lot, but I have just now been going through a small pile of letters from him. He did everything he could to help me out back in those difficult days of trying to become a bobcat hunter. I am honored, and i treasure the letters. I hold a bit of history, and a bit of writing from one of the all time great bobcat hunters. It is a great honor.

kevin i talk to your dad quite a bit over the years and finally met him about nine years ago. i bought a 14 month old dog named ann off him. best investment i have ever made.ann is the best box and start dog i have ever seen. she has caught hundreds of cats with company and by herself. elmer had her on a boat load of cats when i bought her from him at a young age and she pretty much became my main dog at a year and half old. i have seen and hunted with lots of other dogs he has started or sold and most of them were top cat dogs. he knew how to train young dogs and make cat dogs better than any one else i know.he is a cat hunting legend.

kevin i met your dad years ago in forks.
