Small world! Yeah that dog's named is squirrel. You happen to know the dog or the previous owner by chance? You ever hunt with that dog?

I have a female that is a daughter to that dog. I also know the previous owner as well. I am glad to see that he is working out for you. I am having a litter of pups out of her. They will be grand children to your dog let me know if you want one.

Another nice bear harvested by Brawley's Bear Hounds. This is Neil a returning customer. He shot a red bear last year. He was very excited about this nice bears coat. The dogs ran him over 12 miles and finally treed in a creek.

Re: First of the 09' California Black Bear Season
Here is a few pics of the sow we treed with her 2 little cubs. It was my dad, our friend mike, me, our neighbor friend curtis and his 2 buddies. The dogs that were there were: my dog hemi(Plott Cross), duke(UKC Walker) and our friend curtis' dog ace(Walker/English). The only people who could get in there was our friend and his 2 buddies it was too steep and rugged for my dad, mike and me. The pics are the greatest but there nice.
These bears were Catch & Release as the cubs were too small and its nice not to not kill every bear you tree.

Sticking her tounge out saying hahaha you cant get us. . .

Mother and her 2 cubs. The one baby is by her and the other is on the left hard to see it as it stayed pretty hidden in the pics.

A little about how it started: We started out from home bout 6 am. We got up to the hunting spot bout 8-9(cant remember exact). Drove around our normal roads got a few barks but nothing hot let down a few times and the dogs couldn't get nothing going. Went over to this other spot were its bad rock bluffs by this time its 2:30 debating weather or not to let the dogs loose, my dad puts my dogs hemi and duke down and they cold trail and barely open, then curtis let his ace dog down and he gets in there with a few barks, they trail and like a bat out of hell it blows up then taking it far down in there they bay and bark, I was with one of curtis buddies as there was (3) 4x4's and 2 people ride so im with one and we take off back behind where we wered and my dad goes up to the front of us. We get back to the place we want to go left get down in there and the dogs are treed my dad when he was he said that there treed! We leave the road were on its way to far away to walk in from there. We finally get to where my dad and mike was. The dogs are knocking the tree tops off there so loud. The 3 boys get there bags and there off. They talk to us on the radio and they get down there and got the pics and got the heck out of there before dark came. It was a nice little trip and so glad my dogs did good. There are some people out there that say they cant tree bear or any game for that matter. We may not tree bear every weekend, we can tree bear. Hope everyone has a good bear season and good luck treeing them bear.

Re: First of the 09' California Black Bear Season
Great job. That is awesome you guys are catching. We have also caught a few different families of bears this year. I believe we have already caught three sets of sows and cubs. Not one sow we have caught only had one cub. One sow had two cubs and the other two sows had three cubs with them. There is a lot of feed this year so I guess they can have more. When is your wedding date, I know you said it was coming up soon. Good luck with all of that and the planning. Talk with you guys later.

Re: First of the 09' California Black Bear Season
Dang, never seen a mother with 3 cubs. The wedding is on November 14th and it is at Galt at the pond if you want you can come. Its a redneck wedding. Were going to have all of our hunting friends bring there hounds and one of our hunting friends(sorta my second mom) is the one marring us so it should be a heck of a time were going to have a pig dinner and all its going to be so awesome. The bachelor and bachelorette as well as my 21st birthday party is this saturday so no hunting for us(sucks so bad-would rather do that
) I dont believe we have anything planned for the weekend of the 31st so maybe we can come up and go and then the 7th we have a DU dinner to go to, then the following weekend is the wedding its getting so busy and closing out our hunting season i just hope we can get the dogs to get in and tree some more bears. Noting aint better than having your dogs tree a bear themselves.

Glad the dog is working out for you guys. He is a nice dog that doesn't need any help like I told your dad when I sold him. Anyway, have a good hunting season and keep in touch.
