Things got a little Western! (Bear Bay)

Good hot race, treed about 300 yards from the road. Sounded treed pretty solid. We all headed in (with no guns)

Get under the tree, just get the first dog in hand. Bear bails out. Dogs mount him like a coon and have him strung out in a hurry. He balls up on a few, tries climbing a tree or two, dogs pull him back down. He gets under a down tree, gets ahold of the dogs some more. The guys were all down yanking dogs off him and kicking him off them. Finally he makes a good break from the dogs and is able to tree. This time he goes up for good. We decided though he isn't the biggest, we'd rather not have another rodeo like this one. Went back to the truck and got the gun and decidded to tag this one.

3 out of the 7 dogs got bit up pretty good. Nothing serious, they'll be back in the woods tomorrow!

Remember, this bear had not been shot or injured. We didnt even have a gun on us. LOL!

This was the final stop before he broke and treed. I was a little too busy when all the real action was going on!

Was that bigger guy at the end trying to hit the bear with a stick while it was running away or did he just slip or something? Good video just couldnt tell there at the end. I saw that one guy pulling dogs off it looked like. Keep the videos coming!

He was trying to hit it with a leash (as he had been). And yeah he slipped. Told ya it got a little western! LOL In the video it seems slow motion. I can't help but laugh now.

One time he grabbed the bear and yanked on it and when it spun, he fell flat on his ass. That part no one was laughing about. It could have been a lot worse. At that point in time things were still to scary to get the video out of the bag. I wasn't really prepared to watch another dog get killed, or my boyfriend get mauled.

Could have been worse, but no one wanted to stand around and watch the dogs get hurt. So it got very hands on!
