Snow bear

Looking for cats and the dogs rigged this bear, figured why not, they haven't run anything in quite some time and I'd never run a snow bear before.
Race wasnt anything special but the bugger did tree 3 times. The first two times he only went up about 10', dogs loved that. As soon as he saw me he bailed down in to the dogs, whom gave him some complimentary bald spots both times
Third time he went up 10' again, this time I hung back and waited and he finally climbed higher on his own after a few minutes.

Warm weather and pissing rain has since rolled in and ruined our first good snow.

Nice looking dogs. Are they english. Do you run the bells to keep wolves off your dogs, if so does it seem to help

Yes they're mostly english.
I run the bells just because, often freecast them and hike with them, just lets me know where they are. When I can't hear the bells (these ones carry about 200 yards) and if they don't 'check in' I tone them back.

Thats cool, them snow bears are pretty fun. ran one last spring that done bout the same thing.

Most of ours are denned up by now and until I got hounds, assumed they all were. I think what they're doing is scavenging off gut bags from the deer hunters, obviously some learn this as cubs which explains why not all the bears are doing this. A bit of extra protein before they go in their holes!

nice looking dogs. looks like theyre in pretty good shape. wish mine were mine are all fat and out of shape. hope that changes soon though.
