Today is my son's birthday and I couldn't believe what he asked for: He wants to go hunting for elk with me, his mom and little sister. Hunting and family, I think he's headed in the right direction! I'm awfully proud of him. I've already shot my elk for the year so my wife is gonna have to buy a tag just in case. He got to go this year with me and his aunt and uncle when Auntie got hers and has been addicted ever since. It's his 8th birthday today. Thanks for listening to me brag.

Sounds like you have yourself a huntin buddy. I have three kids myself and I have a good friend that is about 70 yrs old who reminds me weekly that "these are the best days of my life." I certainly agree. Don't waste one minute!
He says he has never once looked back and said he wished he would have worked more or made more money but if he could do it again he would spend more time with his kids. Every day I make sure I won't have that regret. Have fun!

My son is 4 and I can't wait till he can hang on some hunts...he comes out coon hunting a bit but I seem to end up giving him a piggy back for miles n miles 
Good times though, I wouldn't change for the world.
