My Buddy dog and Jake caught this coati inside the fence and killed it. Buddy was untouched and was on the front end while Jake was on the back end but I think he caught a rear leg kick to the nose

Clawed nose
My Jake dog got clawed by a coati and I wanted some opinions on wether it should be sewed up or if I should just let it heal on its own. On body cuts I usualy just let them heal on thier own and as long as they are clean they heal faster from the inside out without infection. But this wound is gaping open a bit and I am not sure its going to close on its own.

Re: Clawed nose
We do not have those here.
A cut is a cut to me.
If he licks it, it looks like it will heal fine by itself.
If some one knows more on this, I hope they will help out.

I would get it sewed. It looks like it's a pretty wide gap! I'm no vet but i don't think it will heal right. R.Brocious
