Clawed nose

Post by TomJr »

My Jake dog got clawed by a coati and I wanted some opinions on wether it should be sewed up or if I should just let it heal on its own. On body cuts I usualy just let them heal on thier own and as long as they are clean they heal faster from the inside out without infection. But this wound is gaping open a bit and I am not sure its going to close on its own.

My Buddy dog and Jake caught this coati inside the fence and killed it. Buddy was untouched and was on the front end while Jake was on the back end but I think he caught a rear leg kick to the nose :(

We do not have those here.

A cut is a cut to me.
If he licks it, it looks like it will heal fine by itself.

If some one knows more on this, I hope they will help out.

I would get it sewed. It looks like it's a pretty wide gap! I'm no vet but i don't think it will heal right. R.Brocious
