The dogs walked this bear for couple of hrs. before we could get more dogs to it. The bear turned, went the other way, so i had to re-group and get ahead of the bear on foot, miles from any roads. got to the bay, couldn't see the bear for the laurel bushes. finally started seeing a few dogs about 15 yards below me circling around an opening in the laurel. dogs dissapeared then the bear came out, BANG! the bear rolled, got back up BANG! the bear didn't get up the next time. shooting with 454 casul. both shots went plumb through.
