GARMIN COLLARS

Post by J HUNT »

HAS ANYONE CAME UP WITH A PLAN TO CONVERT GARMIN DC 30 COLLARS OVER TO THE REGULAR TYPE OF COLLARS, THE GARMIN COLLAR MATERIAL IS STRONG, BUT THE ODOR IS TOO, THE COLLARS HOLD TO MUCH ODOR FOR ME AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING TO CLEAN THEM TO MAKE THEM SMELL BETTER.

MY WIFE GETS MAD WHEN I CHARGE THEM IN THE HOUSE BECAUSE OF THE SMELL

Th problem is that the DC30's have some wires sewn inside between the layers. Not sure how you could get away from this problem.

I have garmin collars made of dayglo or dayglo with reflective strip. Collars will come pre punched with holes and you will be able to change them yourself or can send them to me and I'll change them over, they will also be made long enough to put your shock system om or we will cut them down to size.Price will be $20.00 for collar or $30.00 if I put them on. I will be at the Grand American with them, put your order in ahead of time to make sure I bring enough.

Thanks

Just be sure if you do change them that you keep the old collars. SO that you can return them to original if you need to send them in for warranty. Altered collars void the warranty. protecting the wire to the GPS antenna if very important. Damage that and it will not work.

We had a couple get sprayed with skunk. Could have beat my daughter when she brought them in the house for charging. We used a product called odor mute to get rid of the stench!

GARMIN APPROVED dayglo collar/ picture

Garmin has emailed me back, they WILL NOT void warranty on this collar. Anyone buying a collar can have a copy of this email.
The collars will be made of Dayglo or Dayglo with reflective strip.
All collars are 24" long so you can add your shocker to them or we we can cut them to length before sipping. Look at the pictures, the collars are the same collar we use every day on our dogs with yoder buckles, two antena straps to hold the antena where it should be, they will be pre punched for easy change over. $20.00 If you change them, $30.00 @ If I change them.
We will be at the Grand American and Winter Classic

Just talked to Mike on the phone. Great Guy!

Our problem is not the smell, it is thecollars coming apart due to the bad country we run in. The briars are eating them up!

Thanks for these posts!

Second nature, your link doesnt work (at least not for me)

The nylon sleeve that holds the base of the antennas on mine have been zap strapped and electrical taped countless times now.

Those collars look great - I will give you some business after bear season is over. These collars look like there will be plenty of room on them for name tags also. I never thought of putting my shocker on the same collar, but that is also a good idea.

Thanks, Jason

Do you replace the collars yourself or send them in to have them change everything over?
