Hunting In Happy Camp, CA
Do any of you know of anyone who is hunting here in Happy Camp, CA. We have more bear hunters here this year than ever before! There are some guys from Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah, and of course Cali. I was just wondering if anybody knew any of the guys that are down here.

Frog,
I don't know anyone by that name, but my Dad's name is Jim and my cousin's last name is Rhodes and they both live here in Happy Camp, my cousin used to hunt with my dad.
There aren't too many big bears around here right now. Tons of small guys though. There definatly was a decent amount of big ones last year though. I don't know where they all went! Everyone that is here has been doing the same as me.... treeing the crap outa the little ones.
Nora..... Do they have a dark grey flatbed and a red/maroon toyota?? I don't know many of the guys names that are here, just know the trucks.
There is one guy Clarence Stone, he's got washington plates... anybody know him? He runs all plotts, older guy.

Jim Rhoads was a lumber man in Happy camp a fishing guide. he use to drop us off above Somes Bar and come back in the after noon and pick us up..he would be in his late 70;s now because I am 73 I lived in Calif 37 years and fished every fall on the klamath and came back to bear hunt in early Feb with my friend on the Rev, [Hopi] He didn't pay to much attention to seasons. use to be a cafe in the back street of H. Camp that really fed you a good breakfast.

I've met Logan and them out hunting.. just passin by them. My dad BSed with them for a while at the gas station one mornin. I've seen them all down here before and always seemed like real nice guys down here for the hunting.... not to shoot everything in sight like a few guys were doing last year. That stuff really makes me mad!
The clarence guy mus be the same one (Sloan instead of Stone). My husband works at the Auto Parts store, that's how i got the name.
