Looks like a good day out. You hunting them during the day? Seams like there is a great crop of coon this year.

Do you tree many den trees hunting coon during the day, & do you ever run bobcats. I have wanted to try running coon early mourning but never did on purpose

Finally Had a tree, we put to nice ones up in the same tree.21 and 22lbs. The coons climbed way up in the tree. The last coon hung up in a fork and I had to climb about 40 feet up to get'em out.

Whats up with that. What type of habitat is it??

Our dogs are no particulare breed. My self I do only have walkers, but it just worked out that way. But as for all my huntin buddies they all have a mixture of hounds. Some of the hounds them selfs are mixted. Were not prejudice towards any breed.
We do all agree that blueticks are slow, no offense to those that own them, just an opinion.

You need to try some of mine. They aren't the fastest dogs on the planet, but there have been few walkers or anything else that can stay ahead of them consistantly. My female has won bear drags by several minutes. Her dad did the same. As for huntin, the GPS says the same. I am not color blind, though, and have seen and owned enough dogs to know one should go with what they like and what catches game and you clearly do just that.
I have started coon huntin more and more here(Boise, Id area) because bobcat are hard to find locally. I wish I had spots like you have to coon hunt. I caught 2 this month(four hunts). One was at noon. They cold trailed 2 hours to a root wad and two hours excavating and about a 2 minute war with an 18 pounder. The other one was a long walk and my young dog wound up and locked down on a cold tree. After looking for awhile we found 2 sets of eyeballs. Took a 20lber.
Keep the pics coming. You remind me of myself 20 years ago. One of these days I figure out how to get some pics on here myself. Late.

Well Thanks for all the coments cobalt. 2 out of 4 is still great. If we cought every time all of us went out, it would be called catchin not huntin!!!
We been doing really good. The water droped thats why, they been feedin like crazy.
Every coon has been pretty darn fat. All the dogs are packing together the right way,to make it happend. We have been very pleased.
Do you hunt all blueticks?
