My new prospect.

Post by MadCatter »

Here's Amber! She came from lion hunting hounds locally. Pedretti X Eichler dogs. Mixed hounds in the blood, but she looks like a redbone mostly. Her sister looked like a black and tan. Can't say on the other litter mates, they were already gone. She's gritty as hell at three months, taking bones away from the bigger dogs, getting in a tussle over the water dish with the rat terrier, etc. Somehow she thinks she is the queen of the castle after only three days.

Anyhow, we'll see if she can figure out this bobcat hunting thing as she gets older. Of course we'll aslo try a lion when we get a chnace.

Forgot to mention... The wife says Amber is "exhibit C". I wonder what she means by that? LOL

Man that is a good looking pup. I dont know how you handle it, but now is the best time to show her that you are the only one who gets away with being dominant, ever.

You gotta be super proud of that other pup there too. That is a handsome young man you got there Maybe he is exibit B. I wonder where exibit A is?

David, I agree 100%. I am the dominant one here, and she did not get a free ride! She got pinned to the floor and ruffed up a bit to enforce my dominance. I think a pecking order usually gets established, but I am always the top dog!

I think the wifes exhibits (A, B, and C) are the three hounds. Something about exhibits in the divorce. Thank god she's kidding!

However, if boy pushes her buttons enough, he might become an exhibit. LOL He wanted a pup for Christmas, but Mom thinks he's a little young yet. She's probably right... she usually is.

Take care,

Travis

OK thanks for the details. I am a little slow, but thankful your wife has a better sense of humor than mine did! That reminds me of when Mike was asked how much it costs to run a pack of hounds and he said "exactly half of everything you own." I actually understood that one. I still laugh about it... kind of.

That's funny David. Even the wife laughed at it. I think it does her some good to hear how "good" she has it compared to some of you guys! LOL

She just told me I could have more dogs... But I wouldn't have a wife! I think she was serious this time.
