I was wondering where he is located? And the what kind of grit-nose the dogs typically are? Just started hearing about them. And if they are typically used on bear?

He is in north west wa. His dogs were very gritty, but Don dos not raise dogs no more. He had talked to Brent at Brentsbiggame hounds last summer he has some of that blood line also Van johnson has some of his blood line(both guys from my understanding have the line back in there breeding program). Don liked to run Bear the most, he has a ton of artiles in old full cry magizines. When I get advise from Don he is very honest and humble, he tells it like he sees it very nicely and he has almost always been right. Don had a very high cull rate and said that he was never color blind back in the late sixties when he got started Ploots was what breed that had the better breeding and easier too come by(like the walkers now more poeple have been drawn to them at this time). Don said this too me, he bred dogs he wanted to run for him it was his passion, he would sell dogs not too be a dog trader but b/c the money was too good to turn down. He line became famous b/c he would not sell a shitty dog. If everybody would bred like that we would all be better off, and we all can do what he has with time and patience. I still need a lot more of both.
