I'm curious and would like to see who has had more problems with wolves in certain situations, while the hounds were trailing, compared to being in a locked down location and treeing ?
The ones I know of were at a trees but one incident I was told of, the hounds were just kicked out on a track, made it a few yards over a hill and came screaming back to the truck with the wolves in hot pursuit.
Wolf problems, trailing or at the tree ?

Around here it's both at the tree and when trailing. It doesn't seem to matter.

Around here it seems to happen mostly when a dog falls out of a race or the race blows up and you have dogs hunting alone. A lone dog in wolf country is not good around here!
