CA F&G Commission outrage

Post by Peter Meyer »

According to the CHC newsletter of Sept. 2009 there was an internal statement issued that admitted the missions of DFG and HSUS were, "divergent on other topics." I've spoke before the board before and I will again on Feb. 3. in Sacramento. I urge all hunters to show up and call these turncoats out. Taking money from HSUS is like the Anti-Defamation League accepting funds from Hamas. Director Koch is going to get it from me. I hope some one is there to watch the fire works.

Hi Pete,

The Commission had nothing to do with the acceptance of the HSUS donation, as that was an arrangement facilitated through the Enforcement Branch of the Department of Fish and Game.

Note also that Koch resigned and has been replaced by John McCamman. I met with him last fall while he was Deputy Director and he seems like a good guy. He is a hunter, and I hope he can do some good during his tenure for the rest of Schwarzenegger's term.
