Storing taxidermy Mounts

Post by tman308 »

Anyone know if I should put moth balls in the box with my mounts? I have to put my stuff in a storage unit for awhile and I built wood boxes for all my Taxidermy stuff, just wondering about the bugs. I have seen mounts on guys walls with the hair falling out because of those beetles.

Thanks for the help

I probably would put a couple of mothballs in each box. Can you wrap them with plastic also? That would help a lot.

Thanks Dean,

went ahead and wrapped up my antelope in bubble wrap and put some around the ducks and fish. Put moth balls and those moth crystals in each box hopefully it works.

Thanks again
