Tennessee bobcatin

Post by I hunt redticks »

Hey guys great site you have here. I'm starting to cat hunt a little and kinda new to it. I've been using my coonhounds and having good races but no luck seein the cats. First time out we had 7 inches of snow and found some tracks and let the dogs go. They ran pretty much all day and tried to tree a couple of times. Then finally treed in a cave at dark. I had to leave the dogs all night and got to them the next morning. The gps showed them at the same location before dark and they were there the next morning. Second time out I just free cast because there was no snow . Dogs struck pretty quick and ran about 2 hours then finally treed nothing in the tree. According to the gps they made a great big circle back close to where they started . This was about 2 hours. I know the area is loaded with bobcats. Just wandering is the southern bobcats harder to tree? should I try to use a running type hound instead of a tree hound? thanks to all and good huntin.

A man is not very smart that can,t find his wife 2 jobs.
And any wife should be able to support her man and a pack of hounds.

Never shock your dog off bad game

Running dogs are the preferd breed for bobcats on dry ground
most every one uses running walkers.
