CALLING all WOLVES

I just wanted to let everyone know of a technique that has been working quite well on calling wolves in our neck of the woods. There is electronic predator calls you can buy that come with a card you can use to download audio clips off the net. " Fox Pro" calls are the ones I know that have worked and worked very well. Had some buddies stop over on there way through after a wolf hunt the other day with seven (7) dead wolves in the back of there truck!!

They downloaded an audio clip of a "lone wolf" howl and used it in an area that they new held some wolves. Maybe they just got lucky but they killed SEVEN wolves in one set using this technique. The first one to appear was the alpha male and he was shot at about 20 yds. They also killed another grey, some blacks and a really nice blue.

These wolves all came out puffed up and plum ready to fight after hearing this intruder howl. I know it sounds funny but I saw them dead and loaded with my own eyes. It doesnt surprise me that this technique really worked as wolves are VERY territorial.

If this helps one guy get some revenge it was worth my time 10 fold! Give it a try and let us know how it works, we have been hunting and snaring off one pack all winter and still have 4 left after 5 kills. They are getting really smart to about anything. I ordered one of these calls and cant wait to get at it!

Sounds alot like howling coyotes during certain times of the year, especially when there denned up using locater and challenge howls. It sounds like alot of fun to me. Im from Wyoming where were pushing to eradicate the wolves. Keep it up and good luck with it.

Sounds like a good technique! There are still 14 spots left in the Panhandle unit of idaho as well as some in the Lolo...let's see if it will work!!! go get em

I have been talking to one of the best professional wolfers in Canada. Your guys have stumbled on to the real deal. The key is just that. Set yourself up as an intruder and take out the Alpha first. The others will keep coming back until you get them all. If you do not eliminate the entire pack, then the rest will go into breeding overdrive and there will be many times more litters than normal per year and you will have a mess. Pass it on...
