Can't tell the size of the track by the picture, but it usually is a pretty good indicator of a big tom.

The track is as big as an average hound. And it really cruised with a destination in mind. Kind of reminded me of a traveling tom lion. How far do you suppose a bobcat will travel?

No. Unforunatly I had to pull off to go meet a friend back at my truck so he could pull me out of a big drift (see another post, "You know who your friends are..."). Not to mention the track was a good day old and headed into some gnarly country. I walked it out over 3 miles and never warmed it up. But the dogs worked it step for step. I would have loved to stayed on it.

+1 on this one. Sometimes a big cat track doesn't look quite like a cat track. You'll see in this one that it drags it feet and doesn't step right on top of each track.

I don't think it would be a preg female yet, at least in our country. But I've been wrong many times before. Around here at this time of year a cat like that can either be right close or a looong way away looking for a lady friend.

+2

Seen it on lions too. I've heard people say cats don't drag their feet - BS!

I'll take a shot in the dark here, and say that's probably not what you looking for.As far as pregnant females this time of year[that far along??]I probably say again not a bobcat.
