Leopard Taken On The Smith River in Oregon (Florence)

Post by U.R.E. »

We took a road trip to Florence today to do some doggin. We started this track at 9am sharp. We walked the 15yds to the tree at 3pm. It was a grueling cold trailing job up till the last 45 minutes then it was a flip flop race. The Garmin looked like a bowl of noodles.

We couldn't believe all the cat sign we seen! In fact we walked out on a point to listen to the dogs work through a drainage and jumped another bob out off the rocks. We are pulling the trailer over for the final hunts of the season.....

I could have swore i saw you headed east in that pickup and the kid with the red hat. It's all good i dont tell where i get in em as well. but none the less good job. I was over that way this weekend and it was a blast finially hunting dry ground and hearin my dogs strike a few times. You guys got it figured out on that side of the state. Hell i brought my pickup back in one piece and thats a success in itself. No snow is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you make it over this way again give me a buzz.

That was a good lookin little walker hangin her head out.

Glad you had fun. Some of my best memories in the wood were of our attempt to be successful. In fact I just got off the phone with a dear friend who I have hunted with for some time. We spoke more about the long days in the wood with no cat than the days we did get lucky.

Good to hear you made it home safe.

ya that little pup has a hiatel hernia i believe and he is goin into the vet on thursday but besides that he is a good pup with natural ability to spare! and i credit that to ole houndnhorse and those dogs he has. If i make it over there again i will for sure look ya up and maybe you can show me how to catch some of them cats insted of just running them :P

Wow that is hard to beleive that is a coastal cat. Rosettes and everything. You boys must have started a breeding program over there. They were red and not that pretty back in the day. Nice hearing about your hunts, and especially where we should all go hunting  Be blessed.

Nice cat ! looks like you had a hell of a day! I sure like the looks of that Red dog I've got a dog that could be a twin to it, gritty as they come.
