Spaying females

Post by Blue Rose »

I have this blue tick pup and she's coming along good. But I'm afraid that the blue heeler male that we have is going to bred her. What is the opinion on Spaying female. I don't want her to get fat and lazy.

If your not going to use the female as a breeder than it is better for her to be spayed.
All the vets I have talked to say that there is a way less chance of female dogs having health issues down the road if they are spayed. My bluetick female with be spayed this summer.

Boots is fixed and it hasnt made her fat and lazy. It sure beats having her layed up with pups all the time, if you dont keep her kenneled your heeler males will be hooked up with her every time. would you do a snow dance over there and get some coming. later, Andy
