Michigan Bear

Post by Trueblue »

Have any of you seen this picture of this 618 lb bear (dressed) that was supposedly run over by a combine in Michigan ? They say it could possibly be a new state record if it is a legit story.

Internet rumor. That bear was ran over by a combine 2 years ago near Menominee, WI. It had been shot by a deer hunter beforehand and they are still working on who gets to keep it.

It is a huge bear but not even close to a world record. I'm not even sure what the skull scored.

I don't think the person that shot it has any rights to brag, poaching is poaching no matter how big it is.

holy crap its gotta be close to a record, my god that thing is a monster! and you know what poaching is poaching, if he got caught with it then F him, BUT if the guy who shot it was defending his crops then all the power to him, i know what bears do to crops and its not good, especially for some poor guy trying to feed his family JMO

The bear was shot by a deer hunter on the neighboring property the day before. It ran into the corn field. At first the story was the combine hit it and killed it then it came out that it was shot the day before and was dead when the combine hit. I can't remember seeing if the land owner got it back or not I beleive he didn't know that it had been shot when he took it to the taxidermist.
