Oregons Wolves

Post by jasonrinebold »

Well it's probably no new knews to you guys but there is are 2 packs of wolves taking up residents in your state. 1 pack is hanging between Joseph and the Imnaha river and towards Halfway. The other is hanging in the Wanaha wilderness and towards Tolgate and WA border. With that being said heres my two cents and advise from a personal point of view. I witnessed the wolves from the start of the reintroduction to this current time. My favorite cat hunting was 25 miles from where the introduced them at. We all thought there'd be a few here and there and they's eat some elk and be a pain but we were DEAD wrong. Over the last 13 years they've pushed harder and harder and now pretty much rule most of Idaho. Populated places we thought would stay safe to hunt 7 years ago are now overun with wolves. Our elk and deer herds were hunted to death by outfitters but held out pretty good and now are vertually non exsistant in areas they used to thrive. These wolves are flat killers your lions will be the least of the elks worrys once they take hold. They will go out of there way to kill your dogs. I have had 2 friend and my brother loose there dogs to wolves and there are now over 300 hounds that have been killed by wolves since 1999. 90% of those were tree'd hounds and just a sitting targets.

My advise is this, hunt them down and kill everyone you can. Snare them, poison them, call them, find there dens and club the pups. Don't tell a soul just take care of it and go on about your buisness. They are the smartest most successful predator there is and they will servive over anything. Your cat population will go down right with your elk and deer. If they get a hold and start getting a ton of support from your west coast warm and fuzzy bunny huggers your doomed. Just take care of your small problem now before it gets to be a life changeing problem for many many people. It will drastically change your ranching, outfitting, and hunting.

wolves are in the cascades as well but until hunters ans fisherman and houndsmen come together and start doing something about it by not bitchn among eachother but calling ur congressman or senetors everyday then nothing will happen. odfw cant manage the elk herds we do have they give cow tags out and people go out andkill a that cow was more than likey bread.timber companys have alot of influence on those hunts as weyhouser stated they are not in the deer n elk business they are in the timber business so as a hunter to the rest of hunters get involved and get educated onwhats going on with your state

keep them away. over here in WI them and the dnr with all there doe tags wiped out the deer and they kill about 25 dogs a year bear and bobcat hunting. There no good. There is a reason why they were all killed off.
