I' m trying to get back in to hunting hounds. been away for about 10 years, got marry and everything in between. The problem is nothing has changes! I'm not looking for help as to training a hound ! it is just to start over again from scratch, the only help i found was from my old hunting partner in Idaho by the name of Doug Setter,( but I'm a Plott man) but trying to get help here in northern California is like pulling teeth, its the same the same old thing, ( you know MAYBE be a little more friendlier at the hound field trial and welcome people) My family goes to the field trail and bet on hounds to support the club and feel like when we are not welcome! My daughter want to see what dad has talk about all thee years, listen to the hound running down a canyon and then setting up treed, there nothing like it in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you guy guy understand the feeling/I still picture it today, me and my dad standing by a tree, or killing a bear on the ground (not the dragging out part that sucks).

You should definetly check out Tiny's Association he metioned above. The people that get together there are always welcoming to new people. I myself have just started going to their events, they are very nice people. They do several events this time of the year
