Rhodesian Ridgeback
Was watching a show the other day and they were showing these dogs. They said they were breed to hunt african lions. They look like some mighty athletic long winded dogs, thought to myself that if I could make a bobcat dog that would be what it would look like physically ,but would have to have a nose of a tailing hound. Just wandering if anyone ever hunted them or hunted a cross with one of them?

All the people I have talked to basicly have told me Coon Yes. Hogs Possibly
Seems like all in the USA are breed for PETS or SHOW dogs . Not moch hunting ability left in them

Hunted with one this season a few times. A couple lion tracks and a bobcat or two. Not much hunt in this one but he had never smelled a cat before either. Beautiful dog with alot of go to him though.
