Re: cat dog
I sent him a couple myself. Here is a copy of one of them. I was hoping he would have done something about his post, but he did not.
"Honestly, redmange, I just want to let you know that the tone of your post does not say a lot about coast range, but it says a lot about you. I am sorry about whatever happened to you to make you feel like you need to tear someone else down. Most people will see that and feel sorry for you. If I was in your position, I would remove the post. It has nothing to do with the thread. Start a seperate thread for attacking Coast Range if you feel that is what you need to do. I am sorry for you if you feel that is what you need to do, but it would be more appropriate."
Redmange, The name seems appropriate, because there is obviously something eating at you that is a lot deeper than coastrangecathunter. Again, I am sorry about that, and what ever it is, I wish I could have changed it for you.
Let me tell you the last time I hunted. It was a little over four years ago now. I sold my dogs then because I realized I had not been doing a very good job of providing for my family. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. It is still hard every day. But it was the right thing to do.
If this board is only for those whose life situation allows them to hunt every day, or even every week, then, I myself will have to be gone from it. I hang around because sometimes something fun comes along like this thread coastrangecathunter started. It helps ease the pain a little. I also hang around hoping that I might be able to pass on some of the knowledge gained through the years of bobcat hunting. It is not knowledge I gained yesterday out hunting, but luckily, I have not lost my memory yet. I know that when I was trying to learn I was longing for some hunter (or ex hunter) to tell me what he knew about bobcat hunting.
I knew one of the men coastrangecathunter grew up hunting with. He was a true bonafide bobcat hunter. If coastrange never hunted another day of his life, i know it would be because he is taking care of his family. I know his job takes him away from his dogs and even away from his state. But I also know that there is a lot he can pass on about what he learned from some of the greats like Lloyd and his dad. I have seen full blooded hounds handle very well, but I have never seen them handle like a collie as Lloyds did. He gave his commands by tapping different signals on the side of his door with the side of his fist. his dogs responded instantly, and they were not wearing any Ecollar. I dont know that they ever did. These men were true dog men.
I dont know what is making you feel so bad Redmange, but you might try some of that Happy Jack mange remedy. Hope you get to feeling better.

Re: cat dog
Let's see how can we get this thread back on track....
How about:
I am a bobcat dog if I make other hunters jealous enough to attack my master or his son or his freinds or associates.

I am a cat dog when I'll lick a spanish dagger more then once to move a track. albeit not bright just driven!
Re: cat dog
I am a bobcat dog when my master sells me for five months wages, and then buys me back a few days later for five and a half months wages.
I am a bobcat dog when I can locate a hidden bobcat off of airborne scent.
I am a bobcat dog when I would rather have my nose in bobcat fur than in a bobcat track.
I am a bobcat dog when my master still dreams of me years after I am gone.

I am a bobcat dog when my owner won't sell me at any price.
I am a bobcat dog when my owner gets the call on the CB, "You better get ol' Maggie down here".
I am a bobcat dog when I'm too smart to be a good bear dog.
I'm a bobcat dog when I've been sittin under this cat for 10 hours now and I have another 10 in me.

Re: cat dog
i am a cat dog when i strike cats in a rain storm from heck and tree them next to road so my master doesn't get wet. LOL Or when i road over 20 miles a night thru deer, coyotes, elk and evrything else, finally find a track take the time to figure out which way to go, cold trail it 2-10 miles jump him catch him on the ground and kill him( 35 pounds of bobcat or bigger) Thats a cat dog. ( saw a video on youtube made me laugh 3 dogs 1 15 pound bobcat and the dogs could not not get him killed with out help from the owner and a big stick.
