Solid broke bobcat dogs will not. I know of a cat hunter that goes to Mexico and hunt lions with a fella down there. It took 3 or 4 lions caught before those bobcat dogs would run. They first thought it was because those cat dogs didn't speak Spanish but when they got on a bobcat both packs ran.
Pretty broke bobcat dogs might. I have seen cat dogs run a lion and leave the tree when they heard me getting close. Not because they weren't tree dogs but because they thought they were about to get whooped. These dogs would stay treed solid on a bobcat but their entire life had been scolded off of anything else. A 2 1/2 year old and 3 year old dogs started that lion, the older dogs wouldn't start it but did run after the two younger dogs started it. It was on bare ground and in 45 min. the lion was treed so it was pretty hot.

A rancher called & said he had a lion right in front of him in road.
My buddy collared 3 of our best bobcat dogs & was there in 1 hour.
Dogs acted like there was no track what so ever.
I thought it might be like when u see a bobcat
right in front of u & dogs can,t run it.
Maybe our dogs are broke better than we thought.
