what do you guys use to keep your kennels from smellin, mine are all dirt and i clean the every day but with the wether stsrtin to warm up its only gonna get worse any halp would be great thanks

lime works pretty good and is fairly inexpensive. clean wood ash can be used some to however in large quantities it can soften pads. I usually lime four times a year and till the pens twice a year there is always urine and small particles of feces on the ground this helps mix that in the urine soaks in quicker and it is shown to help with vermin and pest it really helps with the fly problem. I lime the pens turn them under then spray a insecticide and a light layer of lime . dont till closer then eighteen inches of your fence to help keep the digging down, this also fills in any holes. I run a hot wire 4 inches off the ground and about 8 from the fence and one around the top. there are chemicals out for use and they work but are either expensive or require a large sprayer and mixing.

Sound advise except only use Dolimitic Lime not Hydrated Lime. Hydrated lime can turn out bad with burned skin and pads if moisture is present or will be present coupled with direct exposure. Whole football team got burned here one time. Rained during the game and somebody got the wrong lime. Speaking from experience here, burned my pooches years ago.
