Thanks guys, It was a lot of fun. It took a lot of tracks, to end up getting that one. Im sure you all know that. I am going out in the morning as well. my buddies dog needs some more cats under its belt before the season ends. I just picked up a walker pup, its been a while since i had my dogs. had a blue tick and a black and tan. lost one had to put the other down.
good job! you guys close it down with that one or there more far ya to shoot there? Man thats alot of snow, Where are you from in MT, must have got dumped on. Looks like its down pretty low too, we should all be lucky enough to catch one in the willow bottoms
Yah that one closed the unit down, but you can still run the unit just cant kill. there are other units still open, we are going in the morning, it just snowed lastnight. From the gallatin valley, belgrade bozeman mt. i know it looks like willow bottoms, but it was up and down three ridges before he treed. He treed in the third bottom.
lots of snow there! were ya way up in the mountains or down low? Looks pretty flat, you guys have pretty mild terrain where U killed it? That photo where it treed or after ya got back to the pickups? Man can't get over all that nice snow! sweet! You got any tree pics? Would love to see that nice cat in the tree!
Wow Rico, kinda trigger happy aren't you? Larry finally gives a guy a complement and you slam the guy. Maybe Larry is trying to turn over a new leaf. Don't go turning him back to the Larry of old! LOL
From what I read, ole Larry would like to see a pic of that nice lion in a tree, or try to figure what part of the state it come from.
Shoot4fur, i hope Rico's jab at me doesn't take away from your thread, I'll apologize for it. You're obviously excited and proud as you should be, sounds like you earned it, I just like reading about all the little details that make the story. I would still enjoy a pic of your tom in the tree, and others probably would to. Congrats
Hey guys, haha I like how you guys get in to it. to answer some of your questions, it is not easy flat county where i got the cat it was up and down three steep ridges, he was treed in the bottom of the last draw, I do have one tree picture, and its not that great i might see if i can't post it. He was killed on a north slope that is why there is so much snow, and it had snowed most of the night. the snow on the south slopes was melted off by 12:30ish that day.
